After 17 years of successful operations, the popular Acajou Hotel on Praslin’s Cote D’Or beach has closed down for one year during which it will undergo major refurbishment and upgrading as well as extension.
The hotel ceased operations on 1 November 2013 and the works are expected to begin immediately and will see a major overhaul of the existing structure with a grand opening slated for 1 November 2014, just in time for the new 2014/15 season.
The extensive works will comprise the complete renovation of the existing rooms and bathrooms, the construction of a new swimming pool, a new pool bar and restaurant, a completely new kitchen as well as extensions to the existing main restaurant and bar.
The hotel will also boast additional deluxe rooms and apartments to cater for the ever-increasing demand for this highly sought-after service which has been very popular on the French and Italian markets.
General Manager Joanise Doway said that the Acajou Hotel is in need of a ‘revamp’ which will give it a new feel and modern touch.
The hotel has already established a good reputation with a high rate of repeat guests. It is very well rated on the popular travel portals.
“A 3-star gem offering 5-star service and hospitality” is how one satisfied client sums it up on Tripadvisor.
